More about kundalini yoga:

Kundalini Yoga is an age-old, sophisticated body of knowledge. This practice combines breath with body postures, dynamic movements, mudras (hand positions), eye focus, mantras and meditations. All this to balance the glands, strengthen the nervous system, cleanse the blood and increase intuition and lung capacity. It provides more energy, relaxation and connection with your environment and with yourself, with what you feel and need.

Kundalini Yoga is also called the yoga of consciousness: The focus is not on agility or the perfect performance of a posture, but on the attention and intention with which you do the exercise. You become aware of your body, thoughts and feelings. It is a powerful practice designed to experience your true self, to live from compassion, to explore your limits and to increase your inner strength and courage to be yourself in all situations.

Kundalini Yoga can be practiced by everyone. If you can breathe you can practice Kundalini Yoga. It is designed for people who face daily challenges and stress, such as: keeping a job, maintaining a family, running a business, etc. In short, people who are at the centre of society and want to learn skills to be healthy and aware to enjoy life.

"Kundalini" refers to a reservoir of untapped fundamental life energy that is present in all of us and already flowing through your body. Yet a big part of this energy is dormant. By practicing Kundalini Yoga the source can be activated and the energy flows through the body and energy centers. This energy allows us to use our full potential. It brings awareness about everything being connected. The idea is that the entire universe lives within you, and at the same time you are a small part of the big picture.
This experience of merging the individual consciousness with the universal consciousness is called "yoga."
